Operation of DC microgrids considering different strategies of electric vehicle charging


Abstract:

To reduce environmental emissions and fossil energy consumption, microgrids and electric vehicles (EVs) have emerged as solutions. However, these new technologies create some technical challenges for the power grids. Thus, this paper presents the operation of a DC microgrid considering the introduction of EVs. To ensure voltage stability, a non linear control method is used based on Lyapunov approach. Several charging strategies of EVs are simulated to demonstrate the effectiveness of this control method.
