Optical analysis of poly-Si and poly-SiO<inf>x</inf> carrier-selective passivating contacts for c-Si solar cells

Abstract:

We determine the optical properties of poly-Si and poly-SiOx used as carrier-selective passivating contacts and present optical simulations showing the gains in solar cell current resulting from the reduced parasitic absorption losses in poly-SiOx.
