Optimal Allocation of Distributed Generators into Distribution Systems Using Electric Charged Particles Optimization
Abstract:
In this paper, a new metaheuristic optimization algorithm based on electromagnetism-physics called Electric Charged Particles Optimization (ECPO) is adopted to optimally allocate numerous Distributed Generations (DGs) units into distribution systems. The optimization procedure is carried out in order to reduce power losses. The interaction of electric charged particles (ECPs) is the foundation of the ECPO algorithm. It uses three separate strategies based on how different ECPs interact with one another. The ECPO is applied to allocate DG units into two standard IEEE 33-bus and IEEE 69-bus. To validate its efficiency, the ECPO is extensively compared to well-known optimization techniques
