Optimizing reflective semiconductor optical amplifier as phase modulator for low cost colorless ONU with 3x3 Homodyne detection

Abstract:

Overcome the limited modulation bandwidth of low cost uncooled To-can packaged RSOA (~400 MHz) and operate it at 3.125 Gb/s using homodyne techniques with the optimal performance for phase modulation via measured characteristics.
