Overview of the structure of public employment in Ecuador

Abstract:

The present paper proposes a general explanation on the structure and composition of the Ecuadorian public employment. For this, an analysis of the most relevant technical and normative documents on this topic in the country was carried out. Subsequently, the collection of databases was carried out to determine the number of public institutions and their jobs, analyzing the composition of public employment according to the organizational structure, the general occupational structure (of posts), gender equity aspects And the remunerative structure in force in the public service. In the end, this article approaches conclusions of interest regarding the composition of public employment by workers / servants, by institutional processes, by gender and by remuneration structure.
