P400 Incidence and risk factors associated to Crohn’s disease recurrence after total proctocolectomy with definitive ileostomy: A long-term single-centre experience
Abstract:
Background Total proctocolectomy with definitive ileostomy (TPC-DI) may be the latest therapeutic option for patients with extensive colonic or severe perianal Crohn’s disease (CD) refractory to medical therapy and recurrence have been classically considered a rare condition. However, the rate of small-bowel recurrence after TPC-DI for CD varies depending on the series depending on whether clinical or surgical recurrence is assessed. Moreover, the pbkp_redictors of recurrence in these patients are not clearly defined. Methods We made a retrospective cohort study in our reference centre with all patients who underwent TPC-DI from June 1983 to June 2016 and who had at least 1 year of follow-up after surgery.
