PLLA- Fe<inf>3</inf>O<inf>4</inf> nanocomposites
Abstract:
In the present work magnetite nanoparticules and PLLA- Fe3O 4 nanocomposites were prepared by high frequency ultrasound. The influence of pH on nanoparticle size was studied, showing that the particle size decreased as the pH increased. In the composites an interaction between the magnetite nanoparticles and the PLLA matrix was observed by FTIR. Magnetic properties were studied using a VSM, and a superparamegnetic behavior was observed for magnetite nanoparticles, but for the composite a magnetic attenuation was observed due to the polymeric matrix. © 2012 American Institute of Physics.
