Parámetros Biológicos de Hemanthias peruanus Steindachner, 1875 (Teleostei: Serranidae) “Rabijunco”; capturados por la flota pesquera industrial polivalente

Abstract:

The objective of this study was to determine the main biological parameters of Hemanthias peruanus (rabijunco), a species considered as an accompanying fauna, from the fishing of shrimp and / or merluza resources, captured by the multi-purpose industrial fishing fleet, for which the biological database of the period from October 2016 to October 2017, provided by the Instituto Nacional de Pesca (INP). was used. We analyzed 503 individuals: 373 females (74.2%) and 130 males (25.8%). Determining the size distribution, type of growth, average size of sexual maturity and gonodosomatic index, it should be noted that the test in males of medium height of sexual maturity and IGS was not performed because the data were not representative. Through the x2 test, the sex ratio of (2: 1) was determined. A nonparametric variance analysis (Kruskal-Wallis) was carried out, which determined that there are no statistical similarities in the monthly average sizes of the pooled data. The size frequency distribution fluctuated between 20.0 to 43.0 cm Lt, and the length-weight relationship determined that the species has an allometric growth rate. The average length of sexual maturity (L50%) was 25.4 cm Lt for females and as for the gonadosomatic index it was determined that in October and November 2016; August and October 2017 presented the highest pulses for the females, it is possible that H. peruanus, present fractional and / or partial spawnings which must be considered before issuing a management measure.
