Parámetros ecocardiográficos en modo b/m, electrocardiográficos, presión arterial, saturación de oxígeno, valores hematológicos evaluados en 2 pisos altitudinales en perros sanos

Abstract:

The objective of the present investigation was to establish referential parameters echocardiographic, electrocardiographic, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and hematological values (Hct, Hb, Erythrocytes) in healthy dogs in two altitudinal levels. A total of 24 clinically healthy mongrel dogs were used, at different altitudinal floor with different sex, age, weight, each study was carried out for each patient. A descriptive statistic was used for the data of echocardiographic, electrocardiographic parameters, systolic blood pressure values, oxygen saturation and hematological values, the "T-Student" test was applied to determine statistical differences between the categories altitude, sex, age, weight, using the SPSS software. After analyzing the results, we obtained a significant statistical relationship (P <0.05) of the stroke volume in different altitudinal floors and weight (Kg), the sex and age variable did not present a significant statistical relationship (P> 0.05), the parameters Electrocardiographic and blood pressure, did not present statistical difference in any of the proposed variables, unlike the significant relationship (P <0.05) presented in the percentage of oxygen saturation according to the altitudinal floor and sex, the hematological values presented values with highly significant statistical relationship (P <0.05) at the level of altitudinal floors and sex. In conclusion, the altitudinal difference is a factor that can modify parameters such as: stroke volume, percentage of oxygen saturation, which decrease as altitude increases, increased hematimetric values at higher altitude, due to a greater erythropoiesis in presence of hypoxemia, all this in clinically healthy animals
