Patent Laws in Ecuador: A perspective for invention and creativity on busines

Abstract:

This article shows an overview of the patent laws in force in Ecuador in order to enhance invention and creativity. Likewise, a conceptual framework is disclosed that is the basis and theoretical support of this work. On the other hand, the process to patent a product is announced, as well as the benefits and advantages of taking advantage of the Ecuadorian Patent Law. It is important to note that the regulatory entity of Intellectual Property and Patents is the IEPI, which under the aegis of the Ecuadorian Constitution regulates matters related to patents and intellectual property.
