Percepciones que tienen los estudiantes del Bachillerato General Unificado de la Unidad Educativa del Milenio Manuel J. Calle respecto de la evaluación que aplican sus docentes en el proceso instructivo-formativo
Abstract:
The present study has as its main objective to analyze the students’ perceptions of General Unified Baccalaureate regarding the assessment that teachers apply in the educational-training process at Unidad Educativa del Milenio “Manuel J. Calle” High school of the city of Cuenca, province of Azuay. Thus, its results allow us to understand its meanings and implications through the design of a methodological instrument that assures effectively the students’ participation at the institutional management. This study is based on an exploratory research. A sample of 207 students of General Unified Baccalaureate was used in this investigation. In addition, it was used the quantitative research method. In order to obtain data, it was necessary to use the survey and observation techniques. Therefore, a questionnaire was taken into account in this research. This research instrument was designed according to the Likert Scale (Porto, 2009) with five categories of answers. At the end of this study, it has been demonstrated that teachers from the high school still use assessments focused on a conductivist approach while the students perceive the assessment as a judgement or control to measure their knowledge in order to be approved or reproved to the following school year
