Percepciones y opiniones sobre el currículo de la Escuela de Enfermería de la Universidad de Cuenca en el año 2010


Abstract:

Social and professional demands actionable, forcing nursing schools to train nurses / os with extensive development of logical thinking, so that nursing care be administered under scientific basis and a systematic and orderly. We apply the method of qualitative and quantitative research, because it allowed us to obtain data to perform an interpretive analysis of written, documentary and testimonial. We worked with a sample of 100 students for the third year of the School of Nursing at the University of Cuenca, 2010-2011 period. Through this work we identified factors of the knowledge of students who are graduating from the School of Nursing, the curriculum, the distribution of the curriculum and the perceived importance of the subjects in the race. For this survey we have applied to students of the third year of nursing school, emphasizing the issues detailed above, for once tabulated, make good analysis and interpretation. Was selected as a tool for collecting primary data to the Survey, and within it use a sheet model, in which there are 9 questions about curriculum, this does take longer than 20 minutes to fill them and asking them to students to answer honestly, since the results must be accurate and reliable. From the results obtained, clearly shows that the Third Year students of the School of Nursing, despite receiving university training, are not interested in verifying compliance with the vision, mission and objectives of the School in the welfare of their education and also found the lack of importance given to the distribution of hours for theoretical and practical subjects, which affects the interest should be welfare of their training in view of developing their profession in the future. In general, we conclude that it is really alarming that students, even unknown to the basis for professional training for future employment.
