Perfil epidemiológico y riesgo de mortalidad de cáncer de colon derecho estudio realizado en el Area de Gastroenterología del Hospital Docente de Especialidades Guayaquil, Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón en el año 2016

Abstract:

Objective: To determine the epidemiological profile and mortality risk of right colon cancer in the gastroenterology area of the Guayaquil Specialty Teaching Hospital, "Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón "in the year 2016. Methodology: Descriptive, quantitative. Research design: Non-experimental, prospective, indirect. XXII Results: Of the cases of colon cancer diagnosed in the Teaching Hospital of Specialties Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón 17 patients (46%) are male; While 20 patients (54%) are female. Of the cases of right colon cancer diagnosed in the Teaching Hospital of Specialties Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón 6 cases (16%) had an age between 31 to 39 years; 11 cases (30%) were between 40 and 49 years of age; 8 cases (22%) were between 50 and 59 years of age; 12 cases (32%) were over 60 years of age. Of all patients diagnosed with right colon cancer at the Abel Gilbert Pontón Specialty Teaching Hospital, 1 to 10 days remained 13 patients corresponding to 35%; From 11 to 20 days 11 patients corresponding to 30%; From 21 to 38 days 11 patients corresponding to 30% and from 44 to 60 days 2 patients corresponding to 5%. Of the patients diagnosed with right colon cancer at the Abel Gilbert Pontón Specialty Teaching Hospital, 28 patients had a high-meat diet that corresponded to 45%, 28 patients had a high-fat diet corresponding to 43% and 8 patients Had a diet rich in fiber that corresponds to 12%. Of the patients diagnosed with right colon cancer at the Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón Specialty Teaching Hospital 11 patients corresponding to 16% consumed more alcohol and 26 patients corresponding to 84% consumed more tobacco. Of the patients diagnosed with right colon cancer at the Abel Gilbert Pontón Specialty Teaching Hospital, 24 patients corresponding to 65% had diabetes, 13 patients corresponding to 35% did not present with APP. Of the patients diagnosed with right colon cancer at the Hospital Abel Gilbert Pontón Specialty Hospital 30 patients presented intestinal obstruction corresponding to 17%, 28 presented high digestive hemorrhage corresponding to 16%, 16 patients presented low corresponding digestive hemorrhage to 9%, 28 patients presented melena corresponding to 16%, 37 patients presented nausea corresponding to 21% and 37 patients presented vomiting corresponding to 21%.
