Performance of wireless links based on the 802.11AC protocol: Ibarra case study - Ecuador
Abstract:
This research project presents a proposal of mode of use and equipment, to improve the wireless connection of corporate clients of PuntoNet Ibarra, this study is based on the 802.11 AC wireless transmission protocol, technology that will be investigated and will be used to optimize performance, the capacity and speed of transmission, as well as the quality of the service, which is offered to customers and generate in the future a process of migration of subscribers. In terms of performance, Ibarra wireless corporate clients had a 50% performance deficit of the last mile, that is 4 of the 5 customers; the throughput of the links was half of the contracted speed, generating customer discomfort, so the link migration model is based on the use of the 802.11 AC protocol and on creating a dedicated channel that identifies specifically to each client, to obtain a reliable and reliable connection to the subscribers, which allowed the performance of the links to improve markedly, taking as reference the Mutualista Imbabura in which the yield increased 50% in the download, 70% in load; giving the client optimal link performance and providing the throughput hired by the client without increasing the transmission speed.
