A Performance Comparison of Three Topologies of Circular Loop Antennas Transmitting Systems


Abstract:

A preliminary comparative study of wireless power transfer systems composed of three different topologies of the transmitting loops is addressed in this paper. The key feature of this study is to demonstrate that a dual transmitter topology provides better performance than a single transmitter topology from the power transfer efficiency point of view. The frequency of the proposed structures can be adjusted by means of scaling its dimensions and it can be used for electric vehicle wireless charging and powering medical implants.
