Plan de crecimiento para el medio digital Chaski Sur, del cantón azuayo de Pucará

Abstract:

The purpose of this research work was, on one hand, to create a strengthening plan for the digital communication means called Chaski Sur, in the Pucará canton, with the objective of developing an orderly and progressive growth that allows it to expand to other sectors, both in the province and at the national level. On the other hand, according to how the work was carried out, it was possible to analize the urgent need of the inhabitants of this canton of the Azuay province, also known as La Sucursal del Cielo, to have an independent, traditional or digital means of communication; to report daily events within the territory that corresponds to Pucará territory. The development of this strengthening plan represented its complexities, above all because the communication means of Chaski Sur, being digital and operating within a canton of 12,000 inhabitants - according to the 2010 population census - where there are 2,477 households, with only 0.09% with Internet access (2018 figures obtained from the statistics of the National Institute of Statistics and Census), led to the development of an analysis about the existing relation between digital communication and the inhabitants of Pucará, through an investigation of concepts and main characteristics for the creation of a virtual community in a territory where there was no precedent of this nature, despite the fact that currently the economically active population - which is mostly residing outside the Azuayan canton - registers accounts in various social networks.
