Abstract:
PRONERGAS CIA. LTDA., is a company focused on production and marketing of mechanical dispositive, optimizer and decontaminant of liquid petroleum gas (LPG), natural gas (NG) and associated gases called "ECONOVIC", which generates an improvement in the quality of the hydrocarbon and saving use in a range of 25% and reduces CO2 emissions in the range of 75%. This mechanical device is unique in its class and is patented and claimed in all its parts and pieces for the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property (IEPI). The use of LPG in Ecuador is widespread; more than 95% of Ecuadorian households use this resource as a source of energy for cooking, water heater, stoves, heaters, dryers, etc. As other business line, the enterprise can operate in oil (generation of power and decontamination), food and hospitality and automobile industries that are using this resource for its machinery and operations. The cost of domestic gas in Ecuador is about $ 1.60, the same that is subsidized by the government at a rate of 87%, one of the major expenses as about $ 608 million per year. In this group of households, there is a segment that makes the purchase of an indirect action; that is, it takes at home. This segment probably has more than one gas cylinder as it uses at least two engines fed by this resource, which means that their monthly gas expenses totaling more than $ 5 per month. On the other hand, industrial sector, the resource cost is not subsidized, so the cost is $ 45.00 per cylinder of 45 kg for this segment, the cost of the resource directly affects economic performance of the operation. Given this background, there are two types of markets for this product: the first one, is a segment of the population whose socioeconomic level is medium high and high, the same as making purchases of goods and services on a massive scale, supermarkets such as Supermaxi to shop, besides having a tendency toward saving and environmental care, a factor that became part of their daily concerns and that it is increasingly important in day to day. On the other side is the industrial sector, whose desire is in the efficiency of its operations to become more competitive. This group of people looks and requires new systems to save and optimize scarce resources. "Econovic" is a product that allows users have more quantity and quality of this resource; that is, optimize the fuel consumption while improving their basic energy and reducing toxic emissions, contributing to savings in purchasing this resource in a proportion of 30%, reducing carbon dioxide in a proportion of 55%, thus improving the environment and reduces damage to objects that are exposed to the normal gas flame. With these benefits, the product has a potential range of diversification and development of products and markets, which the company can sustain itself and grow over time. With these data, it’s possible to determine a great business opportunity, as the company that bid would be the only such product on the market (short term), which allows for considerable profit margins of oil industry; that is, above 60% and return on investment within 2-3 years.
