Plan de negocios para la implementación de de máquinas dispensadoras de frutas en la ciudad de Quito
Abstract:
This business plan is designed for the retail trade industry, as the final sale of products will be performed with vending machines. There is a current tendency to consume healthy foods, which is why we believe that the non-traditional sale of these types of products is convenient. In order to determine if this is a feasible business idea, market research was conducted through surveys, focus groups and expert interviews, identifying various factors for consideration: consumers’ tastes and preferences, the substitute and complementary products they prefer, their experience with using vending machines, and more. With these results, a general marketing strategy was developed as well as the packaging design of the two main products: whole fruit and chopped fruit. The origin of intelligent vending machines comes mainly from Japan, a country that has developed state-of-the-art technology. This technology has brought different countries from Europe and Asia to adopt it, contributing innovative features that will be further described in detail. It is expected that 70% of the project’s financing is to come from external funds through a bank loan due to the high cost of the vending machines. The remaining 30% will come from the company’s founding stakeholders. After having performed thorough research on the project it can be concluded that the business will be profitable, despite the large initial investment. As the chapters that follow mention, vending machines have the great advantage of both selling and advertising without the need for employees. This generates more income and means less operating costs for the company.
