Abstract:

The main object of this thesis is to study the apparel market for pets, showing trends which should be improved as a company to enter the local market with high quality products and competitiveness. Notably, in Quito, there are a lot of veterinary and pet shops where we can find various pet items such as clothing, ribbons, toys, luggage, bedding, homes and food.The idea of implementing a specialty boutique called "Puppy Boutique" is based on the unmet needs of the market in terms of quality and models of clothes for dogs. To carry out this project we investigated the textile industry and others macroeconomic aspects that give us a real focus of the possibilities of implementing the proposed business.We also carried out the relevant market research using tools such as surveys, focus groups and interviews with experts who tested positive to give life to this project. Finally we can conclude that according to the results of both market research and financial analysis, the "Puppy Boutique" project is feasible and has full acceptance in the segment we focus on.
