Policies of use for the management of the Information and Communication Technologies in the current Ecuadorian university

Abstract:

The present study has the purpose of characterizing the educational policy of administration of the Technologies of the Information and the Communications for the management of the knowledge of the universities of the provinces Los Ríos and El Oro, Ecuador. The methodological strategy was systematized through the methods: scientific observation, documentary review, analytical-synthetic and statistical. The data were collected through an observation guide to 83 teaching activities and in-depth interviews with 110 teachers from the 5 existing universities with face-to-face and blended modality. It was concluded that in the application of this policy a moderate position is observed, diminished by the insufficient exploitation of the available infrastructure, limited variety in the use of technological resources.
