Popular episteme as an element to dynamize daily community routine. case: The communal councils in venezuela
Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to interpret the socio-cultural meanings that Venezuelan citizens confer on the daily community routine of a communal council. The established objective was to characterize the actions that male and female Venezuelan citizens use in the daily community organization routine in El Callao, Sector 4, San Francisco Municipality, State of Zulia, Venezuela. The research had a qualitative focus and employed the hermeneutic method. Techniques were the semi-structured interview and participative observation, using transcription and categorization. The main informants were ten spokespersons from the communal council in El Callao, Sector 4. Conclusions are that the daily routine in this organization is dynamized by: 1) the popular episteme, manifested unconsciously in the interweaving of personal relationships established among the members of the team and leading to the creation of a minimal communication bridge to incentivize people's participation through personal contact family to family, neighbor to neighbor, friend to friend; through friendship, affectivity and companionship. 2) Religion, which acts as a spiritual resource to help in deploying their activities. Their working strategies are influenced by the affective component. In practice, it is far from the organizational models characterized by rational bureaucracy, systemic contingency and human relations proposed by Mendoza (2001).
