Post-pandemic impact on the occupational shift of rural populace—a case study using neutrosophic comparison t-test


Abstract:

The livelihood of the people is still being affected by the pandemic, and the populace of rural regions is struggling to resume back to normality from the new normal adopted during times of the pandemic. Occupational shifts for sustainability are one of the post-pandemic impacts of rural livelihood. This paper aims in studying the consequential impacts on the economic fulfillment, social recognition, and personal satisfaction of the rural people after adapting and adopting new occupations. In this paper, neutrosophic Wilcoxon signed-rank test is used for the data drawn from the rural regions of Madurai district in Tamil Nadu state of the Indian nation. The results clearly show that the occupational shifts have caused impacts on the three domains of economic fulfillment, social recognition, and personal satisfaction. The research work shall be further extended by determining the magnitude of the consequential impacts and also the interrelated impacts on other facets of economic and social phenomena. The migration rate of the rural and urban populace shall be compared, and the impacts of their occupational shifts shall also be studied extensively.
