Predictors of quality of life satisfaction in ecuadorian professional elderly

Abstract:

The main objective was to analyze the quality of life of senior citizens from the predictors of subjective well-being and according to the level of professionalism, using multivariate statistical techniques. The current study is non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational-causal scope. A survey was conducted to a sample of 500 older adults from Ecuador. Results showed positive and significant effects that cause predictors such as economic situation, family importance, perception of health, independence of daily activities and the sum of perceived resources related to food in elderly satisfaction with quality of life. In addition, non-professional older adults are more sensitive to a poor perception of health, while professionals prioritize their satisfaction with economic situation.
