Prevalencia de las alteraciones del desarrollo motor en niños y niñas de 0 a 1 año de edad de consulta externa del Centro de Salud No 2 de la ciudad de Cuenca, agosto 2009-enero 2010: relación de las alteraciones del desarrollo motor con las prácticas de crianza de las madres


Abstract:

This work is to study Traverse Descriptive, to identify the prevalence of abnormal motor development motor in children from 0 to 1 year old attending outpatient in the health center N°2 Cuenca´s city, during August 2009 to January 2010. In the first stage between August and December 2009, were performed assessments motor development in children from 0 to 1 old there is a universe of 1556 children. For statistical significance was considered a confidence interval 95% and a margin of error 5%, resulting 80 cases of study. Was performed an evaluation of motor development and the mother was administered a questionnaire to know the practice parenting about use the strip, baby-walker, baby-carriage, forced to walk, crying, stimuli, cot and kangaroo. The results indicated that most of mothers does not know about Motor development and their relationship with rearing practice employed. Was determined that 37% of children present normal development and 63% have alterations in the development. It was found relationship with the following rearing practices: the use of the strip and the use of Kangaroo (chi square less than 0.005). In the second stage, during the month of January 2010, was performed the educational intervention, ended with the delivery of a triptych with information on the subject.
