Prevalencia y factores asociados a conductas agresivas en niños/as de 58 escuelas rurales, Cuenca 2011


Abstract:

OBJECTIVE: To identify risk factors associated with aggressive behavior in children enrolled in 5th, 6th and 7th grade of basic education from 58 rural schools of the Canton Cuenca, 2011. METHOD: Cross sectional study on 621 students, a survey was developed for the collection of data and risk factors. We applied the family APGAR Test previous authorization. For tabulation and statistical analysis frequency charts were created. RESULTS: the children of 11 years old presented low aggressive in 84.8% and moderate 14.2%. In families where parents are married show low aggressively 86.6 % and moderate 12.6%. Parents emigrated but children’s show low aggressivity in 84% and moderate 16%.In functional families show low aggressivity 89.9%, in family problems show moderate 77.3%.When students watch TV programs 1-2 hours show low aggressivity 89.1%, more than 7 hours 76.1%.Children’s aren’t punishment show low aggressivity 94.7%, shoots 85.6%. CONCLUSIONS: The significant risk factors are: dysfunctional families, hours of television, punishment, sex and age.
