Prevalencia y factores de riesgo asociados a lesiones no intencionales en niñas/os menores de 5 años, parroquia urbana de Azogues 2016
Abstract:
Target: to determine the predominance and the factors of risk associated with not intentional injuries in girls / you 5-year-old minors, urban parish of Mercury 2016. Materials and methods: quantitative cross section investigation, with a sample of 108 children´s; there was used the observation and the application of survey. The information was gathered and stored in the database in the program SPSS 15.00. The descriptive statistics was used and for the association between factors of risk and not intentional injuries the RP with an IC 95 % and the value of p <0.05. Results: the life expectancy of the infantile population was 2.7 where 55 % corresponds to the masculine sex. Not intentional injuries caused in the group from 1.01 to 2 years in 85.7 %% (p <0.001), having easy access to the kitchen in 86.7 % (RP 1.3; IC 95 %: 0.8 – 2) and belonging to extensive families in 73.3 % (p=0.02; IC 95 %: 1 – 1.99). The predominance of not intentional injuries was 71.7 %, the main cause the falls 81.3 %, generating in most of cases TEC 53.4 %, the same that 63.9 % was attended in the hearth. Conclusions: the predominance of not intentional injuries in children´s younger than 5 years is high and it collaborates with the age of the child, the belonging to extensive families and the access to areas like the kitchen.
