Prevalencia y factores relacionados con las victimas del ciberbullying en los estudiantes del Instituto Tecnológico José Benigno Iglesias del cantón Biblian, 2017


Abstract:

BACKGROUND: The new information and communication technologies have brought many advantages such as making communication much easier, knowing and interacting with many people from all over the world, and the search for information becomes much easier, but with the passage of time have been fostered a new form of bullying and harassment among young people known as cyberbullying is a form of virtual attack that disturbs the emotional integrity of people. OBJECTIVE: Determine the prevalence and factors related to the victims of cyberbullying among high school students of the José Benigno Iglesias Del Cantón Biblian Technological Institute, 2017. METHODOLOGY: The methodology was quantitative analytical, cross-sectional, we counted on a universe of 300 for which we applied the sample calculation which is 168 students, as technique was used the application of survey and filling of forms. As an instrument, the cyberbullying survey of R. Ortega, J. Calmaestra and J. A. Mora Merchán was used. In addition, the questionnaire on intimidation and abuse among peers (secondary) was used by Ortega, R., Mora-Merchán, J.A. And Mora, J. this survey will be applied after the pilot test, the tabulation of data will be done with the statistical program Excel, SPSS and Word and the use of chi - square. The results will be presented in tables of frequencies and percentages. CONCLUSIONS: At the end of this research it is shown that there is a relationship between the individual, family and social factors and victims of cyberbullying: the factors that stand out in the residence belong to a Bible, the ages of 16/17 years, where it is evident that girls who are more likely to be victims in relation to boys, so are students who live with other relatives and another considerable percentage who live with Father - mother - brothers. There is a 10.7% prevalence of cyberbullying through the mobile, highlighting (through SMS) and 10.7% through the internet (through instant messaging).
