Prevention and Integral Attention in early childhood
Abstract:
The objective of the study was to propose a strategy for the integral attention of the development and health needs of children from 2 to 5 years old, who attend an Initial Education Center in Guayaquil. The psychological tests and evaluation of development, in a sample of 25 children, evidenced development and health needs related to psychomotricity, social skills and understanding, as well as coverage for medical care, satisfaction with health care and the referral to specialists, respectively. The proposed strategy included detection, evaluation and diagnosis, intervention and follow-up, constituting a way for prevention and comprehensive care for children.
