Primary cutaneous histoplasmosis in immunocompetent patients. Report of 2 cases


Abstract:

Histoplasmosis is a granulomatous fungal disease of variable clinical presentation. Primary cutaneous histoplasmosis (PCH) is a rare form, caused by the direct inoculation of the fungus through a wound. The purpose of this article is to report two cases of immunocompetent patients with skin lesions compatible with the infection.
