Análisis del clima familiar en estudiantes en la Unidad Educativa Chiquintad en el periodo 2020-2021

Abstract:

Adolescence is a stage of transition from childhood to adulthood. It is a time of important changes in all areas of operation; it is a period that requires significant adaptation to the physical and social changes that distinguish child behavior from adult. One factor that determines the way adolescents cope in adulthood is the family climate in which this transition takes part. The family climate or environment is the quality and quantity of socio-emotional support and understanding that parents provide their children within the home. This includes the social environment that constitutes the conditions, circumstances, and interactions between family members; thus, individuals must have effective and positive interactions in this environment to survive and prosper. The present research has the general objective of describing the family climate in thirdyear high school students at the Chiquintad Educational Unit, it is also intended to characterize the level of family climate according to the dimensions of the Moos scale and determine the family climate according to the marital status of the parents. This study has a quantitative approach, with a descriptive cross-sectional design. The study population is made up of 60 third-year high school students. The Moos Family Climate Scale (FES) was applied and information was collected on the variables: age, sex, academic performance, migration and marital status of the parents. The distribution of the students was obtained according to the levels of family climate, both globally and by scale dimensions (relationships, development, and stability) The results revealed that the family climate of the students is average, in the same way, the dimensions of relationship and stability; however, the personal development dimension is at a bad level. Therefore, it is concluded that, according to the average family climate of the students, they acquire the skills for their development in all the contexts that surround them, this is because their family system is based on the support, trust, and open communication, etc.
