Problem-based learning in career of clinical psychology
Abstract:
In Problem-based Learning (PBL), the possibility of merging research, reading, analysis and interpretation of knowledge in the work of the student is recognized, the same that passes from a passive attitude to an active one, since it is the one that matters to know to solve the problem. The objective of this work is to investigate the level de knowledge about the PBL and how this didactic strategy is applied in Higher Education. Fieldwork was carried out at the Catholic University of Cuenca (Ecuador); in this project teachers and students from the career of Clinical Psychology participated. We used as a technique the survey with the application of a questionnaire for each study group and also a document review matrix for syllables or microcurricular documents. It turned out that level of knowledge that teachers have about PBL is almost nil and the use of PBL in the teaching process as well. As positive, the use of a constructivist methodology is highlighted.
