Procedimientos anestésicos y sus complicaciones en pacientes atendidos en el hospital UTPL, durante mayo 2007- abril 2012
Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to determine the main types of anesthesia and complications in patients treated at the Hospital UTPL by medical record review in order to contribute to the development of the epidemiological profile of the Hospital. This was a descriptive study with a quantitative, retrospective and cross-sectional approach, the sample was constituted by patients seen in the area of operating room of the Hospital - UTPL during May 2007 - April 2012, the information collected was taken from the medical records and hospital database. The type of anesthesia used by the patients was sedation and anesthesia in a 50.54 % followed by 32.68 % with general anesthesia and major anesthetic complications were hypotension 0.60%, 0.15 % hypertension, bradycardia with 0,45 %, 0.15 % tachycardia which vary by sex , age and type of surgery is such an emergency or planned , noting that of 664 patients attended the 98.64 % had no complications. In conclusion, this information which can be performed an epidemiological profile is recognized.
