Procedure for defining of Teaching Patterns Using in a Learning Management System


Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to describe a method developed for the identification and definition of educational use patterns in the Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle. based on a sample are identified and defined patterns such as location and normal working hours, type of resources used, levels of interaction. It is made from mining data Reports section of the Administration section of the virtual platform. Much of studies in this line work based on data mining techniques, their implementation usually requires advanced knowledge of specialized software, algorithms, among others. The proposed method requires knowledge of software and basic statistics. The results provide reference information and knowledge that teachers have mainly a source of objective feedback that allows them assess and improve their teaching through the LMS.
