Procedure for the design of an educational archaeological tourism product: Case of the north coast of Manabí

Abstract:

Today as a country and worldwide, a great challenge is being experienced due to the great pandemic that is affecting the economic, political and technological biosphere and, this has diminished tourism development within the country at the national, provincial and local levels. To this effect, the following research work analyses the conceptual theoretical bases and proposes procedures to design an archaeological tourism product that aims to strengthen the north coast of Manabí. The research methods used were Delphi, descriptive, qualitative and quantitative. The design of an archaeological tourism product was defined from the diagnosis for San Vicente, San Isidro, Jama and Pedernales as tourist scenes; Merging the natural, archaeological, historical, cultural, and educational to position urban rural tourism in the north of Manabí.
