Procesos de formación artística en el escenario de las artes visuales contemporáneas en Guayaquil ante el impacto del COVID-19

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to analyze the process of the artistic training in the contemporary visual arts scene in the city of Guayaquil during the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research that has been developed is qualitative and it is centered in knowing the voices of the student-artists and teachers of Universidad de las Artes involved in this process. After a series of interviews, it has been concluded that the access (and also most of the limitations) to the artistic training for student-artists is directly related to technology. Other limitations occur in the development of practical subjects. This is where methodological reconfigurations of teachers are necessary to maintain the attention of their students.
