Process Management for the Design and Development of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses)


Abstract:

This work presents a proposal for the standardization, control and documentation of the processes related to the creation of Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) through the use and integration of methodologies related to process approach, good practices for project management and administration established in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide and administrative techniques for operational and financial control based on the "Balanced Scorecard". In this sense, the study included a situational analysis of the current operating situation of the MOOC factory, identification of areas for improvement, design and documentation of processes and the design of indicators to evaluate the performance of activities and the effectiveness of objectives. Finally, it was possible to standardize the activities of the processes with the participation of all the personnel involved, likewise the process manuals were approved, and the formats created for the direction, administration and control of the MOOC creation projects were adopted.
