Producción de huevos de codorniz (Coturnix coturnix japónica) utilizando dietas alimenticias enriquecidas con azolla (Azolla anabaena)
Abstract:
The objective of this investigation was to evaluate the performance of quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) using diets with increasing levels of Azolla (Azolla anabaena). This investigation was conducted at the Technical University of Ambato, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. The variables studied were: voluntary intake of nutrients, production performance and apparent nutrient digestibility. The treatments used were: T1 0% inclusion of Azolla, T2 5% inclusion of Azolla, T3 10% inclusion of Azolla and T4 15% inclusion of Azolla in the diet. A completely randomized design with four treatments and six replications, in addition to an analysis of variance and Tukey test at 5%. The VIDM, VIOM, VICP and VINDF showed no difference (P = 0,0010; P = 0,0169; P = 0,0007 and P = 0,0099 respectively) between treatments, being the highest consumption for T2, T3 and T4. To VIADF it was higher (P = 0,0001) for T3 (9,98) and T4 treatments (10,22) g / bird / day. The yield of eggs was greater (P = 0,0001) for T1 11,8; T2 T3 11,4 and 10.7 g / day1. Feed conversion ratio showed differences (P = 0,0001) being the lowest for T1 (3,4) and T2 (3,8) vs. T3 (4,4) and T4 (5,0). As for DM and OM digestibility he showed no difference (P = 0,0593 and P = 0,1098, respectively) between treatments. The higher (P = 0,0001) for T1 was ADCP (46,1%) and T2 (44,5%) respectively. As ADNDF the higher (P = 0,034) result was for T2 (63,65%). With respect to most ADADF (P = 0,0205) was observed for T1 digestibility (52,4%); T2 (55,0%) and T4 (49,9%). It is concluded that the incorporation of Azolla at low inclusion levels in diets for quails without negative effects on production …
