Producción in situ: Diagnóstico de las prácticas de productores musicales en proyectos independientes realizados entre el 2015 y el primer semestre del 2016 en la ciudad de Quito

Abstract:

Music is the universal language responsible for the transmission of messages and sensations. Melodies and rhythms, after traveling through space, reach the ears, involve the mind and alter the senses. How does it happen? Music, to be transformed into songs and before it reaches the ears, goes through many stages. Music industry is responsible for linking these stages to change the lives of many people. Even though every phase of music is important, this research shows the analysis of one of the most relevant stages: musical production. Musical production is a process in which a small idea becomes in a big project that gives as a result a piece of music work, leaded by the vision of a musical producer. This is created to satisfy an audience that is waiting for it. The analysis of the role of a producer is important because this is one of the mainstays that support the evolution of music and musicians. This is why a local research in this area will expose the level of development and thus a glimpse of the actual situation of music industry in Ecuador.
