Production and Commercialization of Fish Skin Tannery Products, Santa Elena — Ecuador


Abstract:

Ecuador has strategic resources that facilitate the production and commercialization of goods and services that, at the same time, increase the economy of the national market. In the province of Santa Elena there are few companies directed to the transformation of raw materials, however, it has benefits that favor the development of new ventures. In this sense, the objective is to analyze the production and marketing processes of products that use fish skin tanning as their main raw material, in the province of Santa Elena- Ecuador. The research emerges as a feasible project, analyzing the proposal from the sustainability that the realization of the project brings to the region. It is a descriptive-projective investigation, in which 3 cantons of the province (Salinas, La Libertad and Santa Elena) are approached, out of a population of 308,693 people, those to be surveyed are selected witha stratified sampling by Canton and parishes. The results indicate that it is feasible to undertake the production of such products due to the acceptance they will have in the market. It is concluded that the consolidation of these companies in the Santa Elena market will be favorable, not only for those who undertake, but also for the community in general, due to the sustainability associated with the project.
