Productive performance of cows Brown mestizo Swiss powered by Sachapalmiste in the Ecuadorian Amazon

Abstract:

Livestock is a cattle activity that has been implemented practically throughout the Amazon region of the country is being strongly questioned by the productive performance and environmental impact that is affected by the agricultural frontier, the investigation was carried out at the estate "San José" the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of Sachapalmiste (SP) on the feeding of Brown Swiss cows to the beginning of the production period. Four experimental treatments were proposed: T1: 3kg Concentrate; T2: 2 kg of Concentrate + 1 kg of SP; T3: 1 kg Concentrate + 2 kg SP; T4: 3 kg SP, the same as were distributed under a completely randomized design and the experimental results a comparison of means with the Tukey test, the animals were managed in free grazing and an addition of 100 g of salt / animal mineral / day water has been created ad libitum. It was determined that the final weight and milk / cow / day production presented P <0,01, where T3 presented the best results with 427.33 kg and 9,15 kg / cow / day, with respect to the feed conversion presented statistical differences (P <0,01) where T1 and T2 obtained a more efficient behavior with values of 1,44 and 1,43 which shows that the cows consumed 1 kg Concentrate + 2 kg of Sachapalmiste obtained the best productive parameters when applying this food supplement within its management under the conditions of the Amazon region of Ecuador.
