Profilaxis antibiótica y dosis más eficaz en la prevención de infecciones postoperatorias en implantología oral.
Abstract:
One of the best ways to replace one or more missing teeth is with the placement implants, by replacing the lost root (teeth) aesthetics and function are able to return to our dental arch. When replacing a losing root (teeth) with an implant, performing a surgical procedure that can be an entryway for bacteria, these can cause an infection that sometimes lead to premature failure of dental implants, apparently in the studies presented by Esposito et al, Albu-ta’a y Laskin, the administration of an antibiotic such as amoxicilina of 2 grams one hour before surgery as prophylactic, is effective in the prevention of any infection, reducing considerably the risk of failure. Summarizing the results of these and others authors presented in this research, from 857 patients who follow this prophylactic measure only 9.5% presented loss of implants by infections in the wound
