Profile of the management of local communication companies: Case of loja, Ecuador


Abstract:

The purpose of the investigation is to determine the characteristics of the operational and economic management of local companies. From the analysis of 25 social media operating in the city of Loja, in Ecuador, between December 2018 and February 2019 are identified visions, missions, differentiating factors, administrative, financial, and future prospects. The evidence shows that the diversity and identity justify the work of small businesses and, that social organizations and citizens’ demand to be heard through initiatives of proximity. As well, the local media are configured as spaces for the exercise of freedoms and rights.
