Programa de salud y vigilancia epidemiológica para una empresa de telecomunicaciones.

Abstract:

This work is aimed at Occupational Medical Services Directors and Occupational Health of telcos, as a reference and guide for future conduct that allows answering specific research questions that are discovered in the course of this work. A further purpose is to provide for secure, healthy, hygienic and stimulating to workers, preventing accidents and occupational diseases affecting workers in the telecommunications sector. The methodology applied to the thesis focused on the review of medical literature, clinical statistical data, statistics of absenteeism, accident reporting form, matrix of occupational hazards, along with the collection and interpretation of data. It was considered to apply in the development of the thesis two types of research: 1) Historical Research, based on past accident data, health care, 2) Descriptive research, which focused on the observed facts allowing sustain real need of the company and complement the objectives set for this work. The literature on Telecommunications has little information to assist the Occupational Health Professionals in this industry for the management of Occupational Risks. The commitment of the company to participate in the implementation of the SART will be strengthened by applying the Epidemiological Surveillance proposed in this thesis.
