Programme of strategic actions for the introduction of rural tourism in the area of Viñales, Republic of Cuba.

Abstract:

This paper presents part of results of the study entitled Methodological contributions towards the establishment of rural tourism in the Republic of Cuba. Case study: tourist area of Viñales. The main objective of this research was to design different strategic actions, and establish the rural tourist product in the area of Viñales, in the province of Pinar del Río. In order to achieve this purpose, a SWOT analysis matrix was constructed with the help of different experts in tourism, and different statistical techniques were used.
