Promoting energy efficiency mechanisms in residential, commercial and public sector in Ecuador

Abstract:

In this research, an energy efficient plan is presented and it can be used by the three main energy users: residential, commercial and public in Ecuador. The base for this study is the National Plan of Energy Efficiency of Ecuador 2016-2035, and from there, the plan is designed with measures that can be achieved without any cost or at very low cost by the consumers, since they can be easy to achieve. The plan presented here can be executed bay any country or region. Likewise, the proposed plan promotes a change in the human behavior toward energy use.
