Proposal of an educational model for technical courses in the context of the European convergence in higher education


Abstract:

This paper aims at describing our experiment in developing a novel way to approach European Higher Education Area requirements. The authors addressed the problems of the lack of time available for completing the official program of the Information Systems Audit, which is part of the Computer Science Engineering Study Plan. The study has been carried out under a project funded by Madrid Polytechnic University. This new educational model is described in the Teaching Guidebook that guides the whole learning process, and is developed has been developed based on the blended learning style. The paper illustrates also the Information System designed for supporting teaching along with the assessment of data collected by the authors during the experience. ©2007 IEEE.
