Propuesta de asociabilidad y exportación para la comunidad cacaotera Boca del Río Sucio en Muisne (Esmeraldas)

Abstract:

In Ecuador there are a lot of small cocoa farmers that due to its size and low negotiation power, haven’t been able to become global suppliers. This is the case of cocoa community Boca del Río Sucio in Muisne - Esmeraldas. This work aims to present to the community Boca del Río Sucio a proposal of associatively and export with the purpose of being applied and combine capabilities and strengths between the partners in order to become cocoa exporters. The proposal includes a market analysis within the European Union to determine the most suitable markets for cocoa exports, as well as a description of the associatively development process. Moreover, it submits an analysis of international trends regarding the current global certifications for cocoa. Finally, it describes the process of cocoa export and the main aspects that need to be considered to complete the process successfully.
