Abstract:

This work is located in the artisanal field based on the firing of brick and tile, in which a data collection was carried out with thermocouples located in different areas of the kiln, to determine critical areas such as cold spots, heat losses through walls, by the fireplace, etc. A mathematical model was used to obtain the efficiency of the furnace and the furnace was modeled and simulated to observe the behavior in more detail and to be able to compare with the improvement.
