Análisis del discurso regionalista en situaciones de tensión social en Ecuador : casos crisis del paro de octubre 2019 e inicios de la pandemia por Covid-19 en 2020.


Abstract:

During the last two years, Ecuador has gone through different moments of social tension. In these periods, different political actors have manifested to the citizens, delivering speeches that were classified as regionalist. For this reason, the general objective of this thesis proposal is to study the characteristics in regionalist speeches delivered by different political actors, in order to characterize them. For this purpose, the speeches conveyed by Jaime Nebot, Jaime Vargas, Janet Hinostroza and Melvin Hoyos were analyzed under the theories of Teun Van Dijk, Rodrigo Browne Sartori and Pamela Romero Lizama, and Patrick Charaudeau. In addition, the analysis was complemented with in-depth interviews with seven experts in political communication and political marketing.This research will allow to know what are the discursive characteristics and what is the vision of the country that underlies for each of them.
