Propuesta para el diseño de un sistema integrado de gestión para el manejo de residuos sólidos domésticos; caso de estudio Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado del cantón Pedro Carbo.

Abstract:

For overall objective of the present study is to propose the design of an Integrated Management System (IMS) based on ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007, for the Department of Environment of the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the city of Pedro Carbo since at the present time, this Department does not count on any single or integrated management system. For this reason, the integrated management system is proposed so that all the immersed processes regarding to an adequate managing be applied in the future. It was carried out an appropriate situational diagnosis consisting on the review of the processes, the structure, responsibilities and procedures executed through direct observations. Furthermore, it was executed an identification and evaluation of the positives and negatives environmental impacts which may affect the different environmental components; as well as, the risks inherent in the process. With this work, it will be improved both efficiency and effectiveness in all the points of the used processes. It will cause an improvement of the personnel who works in the entity and it will help in decision making.
